    Description

    A very nice, very lightly run,
    K-Line K2439-1553 Long Island Powered RS-3 with TMCC or Conventional Control, RailSounds and Fan driven Smoke
    made in ~ 2006 and works with all 3-rail O/027 gauge trains from Lionel, MTH, Williams, etc...
    This beautiful Long Island RS-3 features both TMCC (Legacy compatible) remote control or Conventional
    transformer control with 3 position (Fwd-Neutral-Rev) electronic reversing with lock switch, dual "maintenance-free" large vertical can motors, 8 wheel drive with 4 traction tires, heavy metal frame & trucks (weighs in nearly 5 lbs), fine detailing, RailSounds with Horn, Bell, Diesel Motor & Crew-Tower dialog sounds with volume control, Fan driven smoke unit with on/off switch, directional headlights & number boards, 2 crewmen figures, opening crew windows and bright/ crisp Long Island "Dashing Dan" colors & graphics.
    I checked the tires and lubed the gears & rollers then
    briefly tested this sharp & strong engine on my layout with TMCC and the motors, directional headlamps, smoke unit, reverse unit and all RailSounds worked great!
    ***Note: In Conventional Mode Only; transformer (or separate) Whistle/Horn and Bell controls are required to activate the Horn, Bell and Crew dialog sounds, engine motor sounds do not require any controls***
    ***Note: In Conventional Mode Only; due to the Lionel R2LC control board K-Line used in these engines the smoke unit does not function well in conventional mode (in TMCC mode it works great!)***
    ***Note: One of the cab doors should open but does not (very common issue with these engines due to the very fragile hinge pins)  Looks fine***
    This engine comes with the original box, foam insert & copy of the K-Line engine instructions and
    I'll wrap & pack with care prior to shipment.
