Description

Lionel Postwar 2348/Lionel MPC 8866 Minneapolis & St Louis GP-9 Diesel Locomotive in Good (C-5) Condition.  The frame was made in 1958-59.  The powered frame can be used on Lionel postwar 2338/2337/2339 and 2348 diesel locomotives.  The shell "8866" was made in 1978 as a part of a  Service Station Set (SSS).  This is a CUSTOM made locomotive.  Cleaned, refurbished and serviced.  No missing parts.  Exhibits slight warpage to the long hood of the car body.   Shows minor rub marks and blemishes on some upper surfaces from handling and age.  The graphics are good.  All trim pieces are present.  No corrosion evident on the metal frame. Shows some paint chips on the frame to the original paint due to handling and storage.  The motor, e-unit and running gear have been serviced.  The e-unit cycles correctly.  A nice running locomotive in both directions.  Illuminated in the front and rear.  The horn and horn relay have been REMOVED.  No Original Box will be provided.
